CAN YOU HOLD ORDERS TO COMBINE POST?
Yes, please email us to organise at firstname.lastname@example.org. With ready made items we like to ship within 1-2 days, so please flag with us ASAP. Once all orders are paid for I will calculate post cost and refund you the difference.
WHAT FINISHES DO YOU USE?
Linseed and tung oil. I far prefer these oils to polish wooden toys with, as they are longer lasting, give a better finish, and are vegan friendly. If your little one still mouths objects you are most welcome to request a custom order with mineral oil finish.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WOODEN TOYS
I recommend oiling/polishing your toys every 6-12 months. Playdough stamps will wear the most because of the salt contact. First, give them a good wipe clean, dry and then oil with linseed or even mineral oil if you have that on hand for your chopping boards. I do not recommend using other food oils (coconut oil, olive oil etc) on your toys as they may go rancid. Please do not store your wooden toys in a dark or damp place, as they may be exposed to mold.
A NOTE ON NATURAL TIMBER PRODUCTS
Natural timber products will sometimes dry and crack with age and barked items will inevitably lose their bark. We do a lot to prevent this but cannot guarantee it. If you follow guidance above for caring for your toys, and reoiling them, cracking is less likely to occur. Respectfully, we do not offer refunds or replacements in these circumstances as the product description will state if this has occurred or may occur. The foraged or felled timber we use is not kiln dried or chemically treated to stabilise it - we season it the old fashioned way - in a dry storage area for up to 12 months.
WHAT TIMBERS DO YOU USE?
Sustainably sourced pine for pieces that need a lot of carving (animals, rockets etc), reclaimed mixed hardwoods and various local gums.
WHAT DOES SUSTAINABLY SOURCED MEAN?
In the context of the timbers I use, it simply means that the milled timber is Forestry Standard Certified, hardwoods are reclaimed and local gums are naturally fallen or sourced from trees/branches that local tree loppers have felled (which would have otherwise been used as firewood or turned into wood chips).
WHY ARE SOME ITEMS NOT WA/TAS SAFE?
Due to the logging industries in those states, biohazard regulations are incredibly strict. I cannot post barked products into those states but will always attempt to provide an alternative.
WHAT AGES ARE YOUR TOYS RECOMMENDED FOR?
Our pieces rarely contain loose parts or parts smaller than 3cm but if they do we will state so. We recommend 3+ and/or close adult supervision. We do not recommend them being used as teething or chew toys at any stage.
CAN YOU MAKE CUSTOM ANIMALS?
Yes but they do take some time to trial designs. Please contact us to discuss your ideas.

Have you checked your tracking details? I send tracking information out for every order. If your order is taking far longer than expected and you’ve checked your tracking details, please email your inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org so I can follow up for you. Please note that deliveries to WA, NT and Tas do sometimes take a few extra days.
DO YOU POST INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes, we have set up postage for most zones. If you are ordering for Easter, Christmas or a birthday, please get in as early as possible. Please check your country’s regulations with regards to importing wooden products to avoid customs issues. We take no responsibility for customs delays. All timber I use is untreated, clean, dry and sealed.

RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY
We accept returns if you believe your goods are faulty. Respectfully, we do not accept returns if you change your mind or have not read a product description thoroughly. The buyer pays return postage. We will refund upon receipt and inspection.
